Jeanne Bellamy Scholarship
is presented to a female, high school senior from Miami-Dade County Public Schools who intends to pursue a degree in business. The scholarship is $2,500 and is restricted to 12th graders. The Jeanne Bellamy Scholarship fund was created by Jeanne Bellamy, who served as the Chamber's first female chairperson. Jeanne Bellamy's contributions during her term as chair, her on-going efforts on behalf of the community and her career in business, truly exemplify the spirit of this award. BritWeek, March 7-14
The British are coming -- BritWeek visits Miami to showcase the links between Britain and Miami. There are 80 UK companies in the Greater Miami area ranging in business from aviation to consumer goods to electronics and financial services. BritWeek will feature an exciting new series of events including the UKTI Innovation Awards and Gala Dinner and UK/Miami/Brazil Business Conference in addition to industry specific seminars, networking events, film festival presentations and a British Invasion at the WGC-Cadillac Golf Championship. A Soldier's Story - Wine & Cheese Reception at Dezer Collection, March 13
A remarkable story, great fun and great networking! This is a rare opportunity to meet RoniBabiev, a graduate of Ahava Village (Village of Love), a residence for hundreds of children and youth in Israel who have been removed from high-risk homes -- Roni received special permission from the Israeli government to visit Florida for this event as he is currently serving in the Israeli Defense Forces. You will also meet YoavApelboim, Executive Director of Ahava Village, who will share inspiring stories of success. Attendees will be able to chat with the guest speakers and take a special tour of the Dezer Collection including the James Bond and Batmobile exhibits. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. at The Dezer Collection Auto Museum, 2000 146 Street, Miami, FL 33181 and promises a wonderful array of food, wine, coffees and teas, and music. Walking Tour of Woodlawn Park Cemetery North
Established in 1913, Woodlawn Park Cemetery North (3260 S.W. 8th Street, Miami, FL  33135) is celebrating its 100-year anniversary and invites you to a free walking tour of its historical grounds. A new Career Center serving the Allapattah, Overtown and Wynwood neighborhoods is now open at the Lindsey Hopkins Technical School (750 N.W. 20 Street, 4th Floor, Miami, FL 33127).
